Get To Know Heidi
You deserve to feel good in your body.
For Heidi McClure, that’s more than a catchphrase—it’s the belief at the heart of her work.
After 27 years as a massage therapist, Heidi’s approach to healing looks very different than it did when she began. Once deeply identified with deep tissue massage, years of experience, continued education, and her own evolution as a human have taught her that deeper doesn’t always mean better—and that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is slow down enough to listen.
Today, Heidi’s Intentional Healing sessions blend massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki, cupping, breath, and other modalities with intuition and nearly three decades of hands-on experience. Rather than following a predetermined routine, she creates each session around the person on her table and what their body seems ready for that day.
More than anything, Heidi wants her treatment room to feel safe—a place where there is nothing to perform, prove, accomplish, or get right. She encourages clients to become curious about what they’re experiencing, practice receiving without expectation, and get more comfortable asking for what they need. Their feedback helps shape the work, creating an ongoing relationship in which Heidi gets to know not only their body, but the human living inside it.
She doesn’t believe healing is a quick fix or that one session can—or should—undo a lifetime of living. Life is always lifing. Some chapters simply come with more stuff, nonsense, and occasionally bullshit than others. Heidi sees her role as one source of support along the way, helping people feel a little more grounded, a little less burdened, and ultimately, more at home in their bodies.
Outside the treatment room, Heidi is a self-described barefoot, tree-hugging, perpetually curious human being (still learning to embrace the being and do a little less doing). You’ll find her forest bathing, hiking, practicing yoga, floating whenever and wherever possible, playing in the dirt, traveling, making something creative, or following her latest “Heidea.”
She’s still figuring out who she wants to be when she grows up—and increasingly convinced that staying curious might be the whole point.
